When a Doorpot just won't fit, our Minitub packs an equal amount of "flower power" in a more compact, easy to care for faux clay pot. The minitub's flower pot is deceptively large, holding almost as much soil as our doorpot mum. This makes proper watering easier because even though the plant is quite large, it may be watered less frequently, say, 2 or 3 times a week, instead of every day.

Planting several Minitubs in the garden boarders of large houses looks in better proportion than many smaller mums scattered about. They require less labor to plant and make a much more impressive display of color on your property. Minitubs also have a much larger and well developed root system, which enables them to survive winter better, if they're in a spot that is favorable to the regrowth of hardy mums. $14.95 each.

As newer varieties of Belgian Mums and European Style Mums began to be developed, we found that many of them had a natural ball shape which had not existed previously in hardy mums.

We were able to use that feature to help in the production of a superior smaller hanging mum that is the perfect size for the lamp post or a side door, or the hangers on your deck, where economy of size combined with price is a factor. The Minihanger is just such a perfect shape- round, full, and so packed with flowers and buds, that you won't believe the value! $15.95 each.

If you haven't added flowering fall asters to your perennial border, you've been missing out on the lovliest of warm and welcome colors for the fall season. Encompassing 17 varieties that bloom in September and October, these delicate clouds of lavender, purple, blue, fushcia, or white, will be the lushest and most symmetrical asters we've ever grown. One of our largest flower beds is so dominated by asters in the fall, that we call it the "Aster Walk". Fall asters combine nicely with many other late bloomers such as Butterfly Bush, Japanese Anemone, Autumn Joy and Rosy Glow Sedum, Montauck Daisy, and Asteromea.

Please try to get here in August or early September to get your asters, you'll enjoy them so much longer at home. Asters need plenty of water in the first weeks after planting. Some attain a height of 2-3 feet the next year. All asters require full sun for best results, but may be still vigorous if in a half day of strong light. $6.95 each. 10 or more $5.97 each.
